RISR Weekend Sports Academy provides opportunities for children or student-athletes of any level to participate in a multi-sports program that focuses on skill development, team work, specific sports strategies, position-specific instruction, while helping your child/children to grow in confidence and make new friends.

Covid Guidelines

We Care About Your Health and Safety

Here are a few measures that we have put in place to keep everyone safe. 

​

​Social Distancing -  We will ensure that all staff and children remain safe.  Children will work in small, consistent groups. Coaches will implement the latest social distancing requirements at all times. 

​

Hygiene - There will be reminders to ensure frequent hand cleaning and we will provide hand sanitizer. There will be regular cleaning of equipment and areas before and after use. Campus entry follows the government directives-temperature check, Thai Chana QR Code or sign-in, masks, and hand sanitizer.

 

Water - We ask that all parents provide their child with a water bottle labeled with his/her name on it. This is to prevent children sharing water bottles. 

​

Sunscreen – For outdoor sports, please ensure your child arrives with sunscreen already applied and with the knowledge on how to reapply when needed. Our staff will be able to recommend when/if this is needed. However, due to social distancing staff will not be allowed to apply sunscreen for the children.

  

Clearly visible social distancing signage - Signage will be placed where necessary; especially in the sign in and out areas to remind all those at the RISR Sports Academy to keep the highest levels of hygiene and maintain social distancing requirements.

SWIMMING

Coached by Coach Lukwa, goalkeeper for the Thai National Women's Water Polo Team that won the Gold Medal in the 28th SEA Games in 2015.

RISR Swimming Academy offers three levels of swim classes: Stroke Development 1, Stroke Development 2, and Competitive

 

Each level teaches skills that take time to master. It is reasonable to expect swimmers to advance approximately one level per year, not per session. We take pride in the quality of our lessons, and it is important that swimmers master each level before advancing, as follows:

 

Introduction to Water Skills

 

Swimmers learn basic mechanics of swimming with support in the shallow end. Safety rules and introductory life saving techniques are also taught at this level.

 

Basics include: 

• entering and exiting pool 

• floating front and back 

• coordinating arm and leg movement 

• proper breathing technique 

 

Fundamental Aquatic Skills 

Swimmers begin to swim without support in the shallow end.  The course builds upon the skills gained from the Introduction to Water Skills course. Safety rules and introductory life saving techniques are also taught at this level. 

 

Swimmers will be introduced to: 

• front and back crawl 

• sidestroke 

• elementary backstroke 

• treading water 

 

Competitive Swimming

 

In this level the strokes will be practiced across the width of the pool to improve strength, consistency, and technique. Swimmers have already mastered all stroke basics. Strokes will be fine tuned and swimmers will be introduced to racing techniques, more advanced diving skills, lifesaving and water safety skills, and the benefits of swimming for competition.

Coached by professional basketball players of the Raptors Team, We offer three levels of training: Grass-root, Developmental, and Competitive. 

 

This program is developed to ensure through detailed and efficient training, that each player’s performance on the court exceeds their pre-set goals. The training focuses on improving weaknesses, polishing the strength and conditioning the athletes to perform at the peak all season long. RIS Ratchapruek Basketball Academy will help players of different levels focus on fundamental skills of the game. Our basketball program is designed to be the primary basketball reference focused on youth basketball levels.

Using modified equipment and having their own in-house training program for coaching staff, they are recognized as one of the best golf academies in Thailand.

 

Lee Harper is a fully qualified British PGA Golf Professional and ex-tour player. 

 

Greg Harper is a professional golf caddie on the European, US and Asian Tours who has worked closed with Jazz Janewattananond for several years

Qualified Coaches, trained by the Barcelona Legendary Youth Coach, following the methodology of Horst Wein.

Our Soccer Program is designed for age-specific training to ensure that student-athletes have a clear direction towards essential skills development and to maximize their potential. Under the supervision of qualified coaches, training includes team field sessions with an emphasis on decision making and tactical game management, individual development plan, leadership, and games or scrimmages. The program has defined attacking and defensive concepts and transitions.

Hot Shots Tennis Club is a fun way for students to learn how to play tennis under the guidance of our tennis professionals. Smaller courts, nets, racquets and low-compression balls make learning easy and gives younger players the chance to serve, rally and score right from the first time they play before we move into a full size tennis court and more streamlined tennis programs.
